     Introduction

ISARD is member based as well as community based organization however it does not implement the program in a community lasting for ever. It may promote cooperative from several saving groups for follow-up program for long lasting. ISARD is emerged in the process of exploring the development process in the rural communities of Sindhupalchok District in Nepal.

Nature of activities

According to felt needs as well as initiative of the communities and as available the resources (Budget, human resources, materials and natural resources) any program can be implement. In this sense there is no limitation of activities. But up to now ISARD has implemented most of the software program like non-formal education, child educational, Sustainable soil management and environment protection, agricultural improvement, livestock improvement, vocational skill development training, micro credit, services, social awareness etc.

Focused groups

Children, women, disadvantaged ethnic groups, oppressed caste, disable and all kinds of poor people are the focused group of ISARD. Potential social development workers also can be the beneficiaries as an employees or paid volunteers.
